Greensand Iron and Manganese Removal Filters

When well water contains dissolved metals like iron and manganese or has a very bad smell of hydrogen sulfide (a rotten eggs smell) a Point of Entry (POE) Greensand Filter would be a perfect solution. The greensand filter oxidizes dissolved iron and manganese as the water flows through the media bed. The automatic backwash process removes than oxidized particles to drain. The iron filter restores and cleans the greensand media with potassium permanganate.
