Nitrates are formed when organic matter decomposes in nature and can be found in well or surface waters. Nitrates are tasteless colorless and odorless and in high concentration they are harmful. In Canada the maximum acceptable concentration of Nitrate in drinking water is 45 mg/L (45 ppm). The Aries AF Series Nitrate removal filter cartridges utilized ResinTech SIR-100-HP media. The unique functionality of the SIR-100-HP resin offers twenty five times greater affinity than standard anion resins. The AF Series nitrate removal filters are available in four sizes: 2.5” x 10”, 2.5” x 20”, 4.5” x 10” and 4.5” x 20”.
